GRADUATE RESEARCH GRANTSWayqecha Cloud Forest Research Station, Cusco, PeruThe Amazon Conservation Association (ACA) and its Peruvian counterpart, the Asociación para la Conservación de la Cuenca Amazónica (ACCA), invite students enrolled in master's and doctoral graduate programs or diplom arbeit programs to submit research proposals in ecology, systematics, animal behavior, physiology, genetics, forest management, sustainable development, conservation, ethnobiology, geography, geology, and related fields. A limited number of grants, generally up to $3,000, will support field work carried out at Wayqecha Cloud Forest Research Station in Cusco, Peru. The grant will support national travel to and from the station, living expenses, and in some cases field equipment. Before preparing a proposal, applicants should familiarize themselves with ACA's research priorities page. To apply for a grant, you must submit the following materials:
Proposals are being granted twice a year. The deadlines to receive your application are: February 1st and October 1st of the current year. Grant winners will be announced on April 1st and November 1st, respectively. Please submit all application materials in electronic form, by the deadlines indicated in the previous paragraph, to Narda de la Barra (ndelabarra@conservacionamazonica.org).
