Field Research Grants

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Since 2003, La Asociación para la Conservación de la Cuenca Amazónica (ACCA) has granted more tan 140 scholarships to support scientific research in Peru.  The majority of the scholarships benefit Peruvian researchers who are carrying out biological studies in our research stations in Cuzco and Madre de Dios, although a limited number of scholarships are also awarded to international researchers.  Currently, the following scholarships are available:

Seed grants for research projects at the Los Amigos Conservation Concession, in the lowland Amazon rainforest, Madre de Dios, Peru.

Available for: Scientists of any nationality with a PhD or Masters.
Deadline for applications: March 15, 2008

Scholarships for research projects at the Wayqecha Cloud Forest Research Center, near Cuzco, Peru.

Available for: Researchers and university students (undergraduate and graduate) of any nationality.
Deadline for pre-applications: March 1, 2008

Los Amigos Research Center and Conservation Concession, Madre de Dios - Peru

The Amazon Conservation Association (ACA) and its Peruvian counterpart, Asociación para la Conservación de la Cuenca Amazónica (ACCA) announce three grant programs to support field research in pure and applied biology, systematics, resource use and related topics at the Los Amigos Research Center and Conservation Concession in Amazonian Peru during 2008.
